ICT Projects Publication and Statistics
Directions: Create a Facebook page for your ICT
project for social change and write the details
below in a separate sheet of paper.
Name of the Facebook Page:
____________________________________________
Link of the Facebook Page:
_____________________________________________
Brief introduction of your advocacy:
___________________________________
Now that you have a Facebook page, share your
page to your social media accounts and ask people to
like the page. Then, upload your video in the Facebook
page you have just created. Share this once again and
gather reactions from your audience.
This time, check your page after 24 to 48 hours
from the time you have created and posted the
ICT Project for Social Change video. On a
separate sheet of paper, answer the following
questions below:
 How many likes does your Facebook page
have?
 How many people give reaction to your video
post?
 How many people leave a comment on the
post?
 How many people shared it?
Now that you know if your page and posts
are performing by manually counting the
reactions, comments, and shares, can you
imagine the amount of work you have to do
every time you post in your page if you are
going to manually monitor each post?
Similar to a traffic on a highway which refers to
the number of cars travelling down the road, web
traffic refers to the number of users who are surfing
on a particular website in the internet highway and
use it according to their needs. Each person who
logs on to a website is recorded as a visit or session,
with a starting and ending time. This is the common
way to measure success of a website and online
business effectiveness at attracting an audience.

your website using web analytics tool. Web analytics is the

6. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered
by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. It is
currently as a platform inside the Google Marketing
Platform brand. Medium.com states that around 54%
of all websites are using Google Analytics. This is the
most popular and known tool for web analytics.
Google Analytics uses a system known as ABC. The
acronym stands for “Acquisition”, “Behavior” and
“Conversions”. This means that Google tracks the way
the audience reaches a website, the way they behave
on it, and the actions they take while on it.
Acquisition – refers to how people reach your
website.
 Direct – this metric represents the number
of people who have accessed your website by
directly typing your address, as well as those
who have encountered your site via a
bookmark. These people have a clear knowledge
of your website prior to accessing it.
 Organic search – these results represent
the people who have found your website by
typing different keywords.
 Paid Searches – the number here is the
result of an Ad campaign such as those links
you have seen and clicked on other websites.
 Social – this represents all the people who
accessed your website pages from Social
Media.
Behavior – refers to the way people behave or
react on your website. Every website has a certain
goal. People access a site with a purpose. This
tool provides data on how people get hooked on
your website.
 Page views – the number of times your
website has been accessed (including multiple
page views by the same visitor) in a chosen
period.
 Unique page views – this metrics
indicates the unique number of page views,
counting multiple page views by the same
visitor in a session as one.
 Average time on the page – this
number shows you roughly how much a user
spends on the website during a specific time
frame.
 Bounce rate – This one shows
the percentage of people who left
your website after only accessing one
page.
 Exit – this rate shows you the
percentage of which a page was the last
one accessed by the visitor before
leaving your website.
Conversions – To monitor your sites
effectively, you must know the purpose of your
site. While behavior gives insight on how the
user interact on your website, conversions check
if your website reaches its purpose. It answers
questions such as “How many people clicked the
advertisement?”, “How many people actually
bought the product?” These goals are also
grouped into categories:
 Goals revolving around visitors reaching a
certain page/section of your website
 Goals revolving around how much time the
visitors spend on the website in general or on a
certain page
 Goals revolving around visitors accessing a
specific number of pages of your website.
 Goals revolving around an action – visitors
downloading a brochure/watch a video etc.
Benefits of Website Analytics & Tracking:
Here are some benefits of advanced website
analytics.
1. Know the visitors of the site.
2. Know exactly what the
user/audience/customers are looking for.
3. Find out how to improve the website.
4. Measure the success of other marketing
activities and see the match rate rise.
What are the different platforms you can use in
implementing your ICT Projects for Social
Change? How can you monitor the statistics of
your site in the platform that you have chosen?
Now that you have learned monitoring the
statistics of your website, use the data you have
gathered from your analytics & tracking to
improve the website.
