This document describes a computer program developed to calculate bending and pitting stresses of gears using the AGMA methodology. The program was written using Microsoft Excel and MATLAB software. It extracts equations from AGMA graphs using curve fitting tools in MATLAB. This allows it to determine bending and pitting stresses and safety factors for any spur or helical gears quickly and efficiently.
