- 2. Infographics During the workshop we discussed how infographics could be used as digital posters. We explored how visuals can be used to express data and took a tour online of a variety of infographic tools and others that allow you to create visual word clouds, timelines, charts & graphs, and mind maps to use within the infographic. Some of these are available as apps but others are browser based. Examples are contained in the slides. During the workshop the creation of an infographic was demonstrated using Piktochart.

Information Graphics Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present (often complex) information quickly and clearly. They can aid understanding by utilising graphics which can help the reader's ability to see patterns and trends. There are now a number of easy-to-use, and often free tools available that have made the creation of infographics by people without design skills possible. Infographics can be published online and then shared via social media channels or via the URL link. With some tools you can also download the infographic as an image or PDF file. Some sites offer education licences for the Pro versions.
