Ethnographic research was conducted on a university campus and found that students aged 18-23 would benefit from an app reviewing nearby food options. Photos and videos from the research showed students purchasing food from various on-campus locations. Interviews found students care about food quality and some go home if desired options are unavailable. The proposed app would allow live updates and user ratings of campus food with pictures and comments to help students choose where to eat. It was compared to review apps like Yelp and Urbanspoon that provide map-based reviews of restaurants.
