Experience + Discover – Youth unemployment is big problem all across the world, and major problem for 1 region which I am focusing on i.e. Rajkot – Lots of Education institutes are there in 1 single city and problem for institute is quality students, problem for student in quality education and problem for both is jobs and entrepreneurship guidance. – Target is to train students and make them capable of getting jobs or start their firm, provide platform to institutes so they can improve quality of education and became real mentor for students and faculties. – More than 10,000 SMEs but very low pay scale. – Region have lack of professionalism, and people who are talent & professional at students level, faculty level, institute level or industry level, not able to gain recognition and platform they deserve.

Experience + Discover – >80% of people ended up doing job they don’t like (-Scott D) – What we study in institutes – what we do in industry – what we actually loves to do are 3 different things – People are born with intrinsic motivation, self-respect, dignity, curiosity and joy in learning. We will never transform our prevailing system of management (which destroyed our people) without transforming our prevailing system of education (-WE Deming) – Its not only about getting a job, its about what you will do, when you will be there? – World don’t treat students as professional and treat new professionals as kids – In reality, World will judge you and undervalue u – bcaz of yr age DON’T ended UP choosing wrong career Check Your sector – Fall in love – Rock the life Surrounding matters – Be with passionate people

Experience + Discover – This region needs platform where people can come together and learn from each other because they have so much potential that no one can imagine. – We are working on organizing conference every month where people can share their journey and experiences instead of boring strategy and these people can be group and lead their and others life along with whole region. – Lot many organization working for betterment of region, they should get recognition and that also will be our focus. We will create a platform where people can be surrounded with passionate people.
- 5. solution – Create a platform for everyone and create surrounding where people can inspire from each other and make things possible. – Back to back efforts are happening and people who are working for betterment of this region coming together to make impossible – possible. – Skill development trainings for students & teachers. – Make people aware of open source tools and awareness about organization available for internship, job, entrepreneurship etc. – Leading talented people from local to global and taking opportunities from global to local. Solution Recent local Big Event 1 : M Tradyog, 2012 – Organized interactive thought sharing program to bridge the gap between industry and academia at Rajkot region in association with regional organizations – We invited 1 student, 1 faculty & 1 Alumni from few institute, some young professionals, experienced industry experts and Trustees. More than 200 people participated in highly interactive program where we focused on different issues from everyone’s perspectives and it became eye opener program for everyone. – This kinds of initiatives changes life of lot many and can make a difference in their personal & professional life. – af

Solution Local Big Events 2 : Creating future creating opportunities – It was part of EU-Youth in Action multi country project for which we targeted Gujarat region for creating platform for youth of skill development, internship, competitions, volunteerism, entrepreneurship etc – It was one of the finest imitative that region has produced which directly help more than almost 700 youth and we invited intentional delegation for this events. – 10 experts shred their experience. - 8. solution – We are also planning to focus on people living in villages of Rajkot region. We can train them for some skill and they can make products which they can sell in big cities with good margin with keeping social purpose in mind. (process to implement this idea is already begun) – One more focus is to do citizen leadership activities, where people can do good for the city and region. Its already in process and will be in public soon. – Specific training can be given to students to nurture them to get good jobs like prepare them for aptitude and technical tests, Group discussion & personal interview, CV preparation, skill development programs also can be organized
- 9. solution – We can organize local level competition on the basis of open innovation, it can be related to industry, academia or social issues. – We can be connector to all those people who are working for betterment of this region in terms of supports of all kinds and in terms of appreciation which be tangible or intangible. – We can train school children, their parents and teachers for better learning environment. We can do career counseling for them so they don’t ended up choosing wrong career which is very common in this region. – Can create platform where people learn from practical experience rather than theoretical bookish knowledge.

Planned result & outcome • How many hours will your team spend on the solution? – Its not only solution for us, its long process which is already begun and spending huge amount of time to make this possible • How many young unemployed people will you reach? – >3000 (>40% achieved) • How many young people will you engage? – 4000 (>40% achieved)
