- 2. Definition ● A website is a collection of webpages. ● It is a window to your business, available in front of your prospect customers 365*24*7. ● A person interested in your product/service can view those on your website anytime of the day or night!
- 3. Website Planning ● Planning is the very important part of building a website. ● Now, we do know at the time of constructing a house or building, we do draw a plan. If not the property might not end that well. ● Same applies here. Before proceeding to design a website, you do have to make a plan.

Basic steps of website planning ● First and foremost consider which type of audience are you targeting? ● Secondly, organize all your concepts and materials. ● Now, the important part is creating a sitemap also known as the directory structure. ● Next step includes creating a sketch for the pages ● Refine the website look (Space, Balance, Color, Font Type, Size, Special Effects and consistency)

Web Designing ● Now, try to present your web page in a way that the visitors should impress within seconds of visiting it. ● Try to update the web pages often with the latest and updated content. ● Try to make your Web pages with focused content, ● Well, do not try to show everything on the single page. ● It will be better to use different pages for individual topics. ● Also, try to make sure that the features used in the website are compatible for all the browsers. ● Also, try to re-check whether the links and buttons provided are working properly or not. ● Lastly, try to use the compressed images. In that way, the web page will load quickly.

And they do serve various purposes. ● For Ex: .com is for commercial purpose, .Edu is for the educational institutes and .ac is for the academic organization, .org is for miscellaneous, usually non-profit organizations and .in for India country.

What is DNS? ● The DNS (Domain Name System) is an internet service that translates URLs or Domain names to IP addresses (similar to using a phone book to convert names to phone numbers). ● Essentially all internet traffic happens between internet protocol (IP) addresses. ● Domain Name Servers do the actual work of this conversion.

What is Domain Extension? or TLD? ● Domain extensions, also known as Top Level Domains or TLDs, are the suffixes or the last part of a domain name – the letters that come after the dot to the right of any domain name. ● For example, most URL addresses end with .com – this is an example of a domain extension or TLD.
