The Phaistos Disc was found in Crete at the Palace of Phaistos. Evidence from the disc such as symbols depicting Cretan artifacts and geography, as well as information encoded on the disc about religion, government, and history of Crete, indicate it was designed and produced in Crete, likely at the Palace of Phaistos where it was discovered. The disc has been dated to around 1458 BC, the 27th year of Egyptian King Thutmose III, based on the number of passages corresponding to latitudes of the Nile Delta.
