The script has been deciphered, and turns out to describe the religion of Crete. The disc has been made in Crete, even in the Palace of Phaistos itself, where it was also found. It is accurately dated at c.1458 BC, at the start of a civil war, at the very end of the New Palace Culture. It gives an accurate desciption of daily life on Crete, showing the yearly production of goods, and the number of people working in all parts of society. It contains a complete history of Crete and Egypt, including dates, palaces, dynasties, Kings, years of reign, sizes of the fleet, and population numbers. New information is now available,
