Indicators in Effective Teaching
3. House Rules:
1. Listen attentively, avoid making noise/action that
may disrupt the speaker and participants.

5. Objectives:
1. Re-orient the teachers on the COT rubrics as a
tool to be used during classroom observation.
2. Share classroom strategies/practices that can be
applied for effective teaching.
3. Capacitate teachers on identified classroom
observable indicators (1, 2, 3, 7, 8, & 9).
26. Profiling is a process of getting information about the learners
with consent from the parents or guardians.
- it is important in adapting and implementing learning programs.
- it can be used as a reference to understand learners’ learning
needs in the class. Thus, this learner information is confidential.
Aspects of the learners that should be captured in the profiling:
1. Demographic information includes gender, age, ethnicity, location, religion,
and family economic background.
2. Learner characteristics include learners’ learning preferences and styles,
literacy and numeracy, prior learning, and learners’ needs and skills for
learning.

applied or planning to be applied in your classroom instruction to
demonstrate effectively and efficiently the specific observable
indicator. You may describe it by:
a. name of the activity (if any)

c. possible outcomes
