SightFirst II Goal
• The goal for CSFII is US$150 million. This goal has been
established based on several factors:
– Funds required to help prevent the number of the world’s
blind from doubling by the year 2020.
– History of support and success of LCIF, and CSF.
– Advice from feasibility study participants.
– That CSFII raise new money and not detract from existing
projects.
• A stretch or challenge goal of an additional US$50 million
has been established:
– The needs are larger than US$150 million. Additional
funds will:
• strengthen existing programs
• build capacity in areas of ongoing Lions programs
• assist those who are blind or are vulnerable in
developed countries through research and
rehabilitation.
