Certification Requirement #1 Class Attendance Class attendance and participation is required for all sessions. 3 ©2006, JEA™.  All Rights Reserved.
Certification Requirement #2 Completion of Work Book A work book will be provided to each student at the end of each training session. The student is required to work on all the problems included in the work book during the week after training. The student is responsible for submitting the completed work book to the MBB for approval by 5:00 pm on the Friday of the week following the class.  All workbooks must be reviewed and approved by MBB to meet this requirement 4 ©2006, JEA™.  All Rights Reserved.
Certification Requirement #3 Passing grade of 70 or higher is required on all tests.  Tests will be administered at the beginning of the following training session e.g. – Define phase test taken at beginning of Measure phase The tests are open book, open note, multiple choice. No consulting with your peers is allowed during the test. You may ask the instructor to offer clarification on a question that is not clear to you.  If a passing grade is not obtained on the test, students will be given additional training on needed topics and take an equivalent test. If a passing grade is not achieved on the re-take test, the student will be dropped from the program. 5 ©2006, JEA™.  All Rights Reserved.
Certification Requirement #4 Successfully complete tool usage exercise The student will be given an exercise to demonstrate the proper application of tools learned during the training. The tools exercise will be given at the end of the control phase session to be completed by the student within 4 weeks Exercise must be completed on their own (not a group exercise) The exercise will be completed on a scheduled basis with MBB “ Successfully complete” is defined as a 70% minimum score. If the student does not meet this minimum score, they will be given additional training on needed topics and given an equivalent tool usage problem. If a passing grade is not achieved on the re-take exercise, the student will be dropped from the program. 6 ©2006, JEA™.  All Rights Reserved.
Certification Requirement #5 Successful completion of two Black Belt projects The first project is assigned on the first day of Define phase training The second project will be assigned on the last day of Analyze. Both projects must be complete within 7 months of the second project assignment date for full-time Black Belt Candidates Both projects must be complete within 18 months of the second project assignment date for other Black Belt Candidates Regular tollgates will be conducted by the Black Belt Candidate at the end of each of the DMAGIC phases. Approval from Master Black Belt and the Champion is a requirement for successful project completion. 7 ©2006, JEA™.  All Rights Reserved.
