- 1. Honorable Chief Guest __________ Respected, Directors, distinguished faculty members and dear friends… ASSALAAM - O - ALAIKUM. I am Shahzeb Pirzada, the MoC for today’s Declamation Contest, Fall 2012, welcome you all, organized by the Debating and Dramatic Society, Department of English. Ladies and Gentlemen: The topics for this speech contest are: 1- 2- The first three position holders will be awarded with certificates so that they get motivated and others also improve their speeches in upcoming declamations. Now it is the time to read the instructions so that decorum of this event is maintained. 1. The speakers will speak in English only. 2. Speakers can quote any charismatic or influential personality. 3. Speakers can quote any authentic book, magazine or newspaper in order to support their viewpoint. 4. Speakers must not transgress the norms and conventions of the society. .
- 2. 5. The speakers are allowed to Jot down their points and can take the paper to the rostrum but paper reading is not allowed. Ladies & Gentleman, To start the proceedings, I request ________________ to kindly come over and recite a few verses from the Holy Quran. (The Secretary after Tilawat) JazakAllah, _______________ .
