The document discusses the design and development of a grid-connected quasi-z-source photovoltaic (PV) inverter, which addresses efficiency issues associated with conventional voltage source inverters by employing a unique topology and control method. The proposed inverter system incorporates a DC-DC boost converter to optimize voltage levels while enabling maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and improved synchronization with the grid. Simulation and experimental results indicate that the quasi-z-source inverter can effectively function like conventional systems while providing better performance in varying conditions.
