productive and safe. Digital technologies can be both introduced at the management
level of a construction organization , as well as field level of a construction project.
Challenges faced in construction:
ü Lack of alignment – Shorter contracts with small and medium contractors leads to
misalignment in the motivation of both the parties.
ü Unique projects – Implementation of expensive digital technologies and tailor-fit to
unique construction projects which requires bespoke designs and delivery approaches.
ü Poor data management - Poorly collected data and its strategies had hit the construction
industry in 2020.
ü Worker training problem – Resistance faced by aging workforce in accepting new
technologies in construction.
