Embedded system projects for final year Bangalore
A) IMPLEMENTATION OF MIND CONTROL ROBOT
Embedded Technology is now in its prime and the wealth of knowledge available is mind-
blowing. However, most embedded systems engineers have a common complaint. There are no
comprehensive resources available over the internet which deals with the various design and
implementation issues of this technology. Intellectual property regulations of many corporations
are partly to blame for this and also the tendency to keep technical know-how within a restricted
group of researchers. There are billions of neurons interconnected in human brain. Human
thoughts and their emotional states affect the interactions between these neurons. Every
interaction between these neurons creates an electric discharge which cannot be measured using
current technology. However, the activity created by thousands of concurrent electric discharges
aggregates into waves which can be measured. The sequences of interactions between these
neurons are a result of different brain states.
• The sequences of interactions between these neurons are a result of
different brain states. These patterns of interaction produce waves of
different amplitudes and frequencies. These wave patterns can be used to
determine emotional state of the brain. The goal of this project is to
measure electric activity in the brain due to firing of these neurons, parse
wave to obtain attention and meditation level of brain and use it to move
a robot. There are different techniques available to detect electric activity
in brain. One technique is Electroencephalography (EEG). EEG measures
voltage fluctuation along the scalp that results from the interaction
between the neurons in the brain. These voltage fluctuations are
processed and output to a microcontroller by the EEG sensor. The data
packets obtained from the EEG sensor are stored in microcontroller. The
microcontroller uses different techniques to process and parse the data.
The attention and meditation levels are obtained from the processed data.
These levels are used to control the direction and motion of the robot.
In recent times, smart-phones have become an important
part of our daily lives. When we start to use the smart phones,
we can do all-around business at anytime and anywhere. This
change, known as ubiquitous computing, has been developing
gradually due to smart-phones in the maritime industry;
communication environment is developed by sailors to know
about the ship information. Most of the typical ship-
monitoring applications show the values of various sensors in
the water tank. These system data classify the sensor data and
store it on the server. Using this monitoring system
information, we developed a new smart-phone application
called “Tank boy,” This system provides information from the
water tank database using visualization techniques
Embedded system projects for final year Bangalore
An embedded system is a dedicated computer system
designed for one or two specific functions. This system is
embedded as a part of a complete device system that includes
hardware, such as electrical and mechanical components. The
embedded system is unlike the general-purpose computer,
which is engineered to manage a wide range of processing
tasks. Because an embedded system is engineered to perform
certain tasks only, design engineers may optimize size, cost,
power consumption, reliability and performance. Embedded
systems are typically produced on broad scales and share
functionalities across a variety of environments and
applications
• Now a day's every system is automated in order to face new
challenges. In the present days Automated systems have less
manual operations, flexibility, reliability and accurate. Due to this
demand every field prefers automated control systems. Especially in
the field of electronics automated systems are giving good
performance.
•
• Clock is one of major source of indicating and maintaining the time
of the day with parameters like hours, minutes and seconds. It acts
as scheduler for many important events and functions. The present
day clock like analog clocks which dependent on pendulum have
certain drawbacks based on there accuracy, cost and power
consumption, and environmental requirements. Our project solves
the above mentioned problems
• It is proposed to implement this project at the institute level. It is
proposed to place display boards in major access points. The electronics
displays which are currently used are programmable displays which need
to be reprogrammed each time. This makes it inefficient for immediate
information transfer, and thus the display board loses its importance. The
GSM based display toolkit can be used as an add-on to these display
boards and make it truly wireless. The display board programs itself with
the help of the incoming SMS with proper validation. Such a system proves
to be helpful for immediate information transfer
• The system required for the purpose is nothing but a Microcontroller
based SMS box. The main components of the toolkit include
microcontroller, GSM modem. These components are integrated with the
display board and thus incorporate the wireless features. The GSM
modem receives the SMS. In return the modem transmits the stored
message through the COM port. The microcontroller validates the SMS
and then displays the message in the LCD display board.

• An embedded system is a computer that has been built to solve only a few
very specific problems and is not easily changed.[1] In contrast, a general-
purpose computer can do many different jobs, and can be changed at any
time with new programs for new jobs.
• An embedded system usually does not look like a computer, often there is
no keyboard or monitor or mouse. But like any computer it has
a processor and software, input and output. The word embedded means it
is built into the system. It is a permanent part in a bigger system.
• For example, a controller is embedded in an elevator and tells the motor
to move the elevator to different floors based on buttons that are pushed.
A decoder is embedded in a satellite television set-top box to read a signal
from the dish and send something that a TV understands. Often this type
of system must do its work in a specific amount of time. This is called real-
time computing. If a set-top box got interrupted to do another task, you
would see a bad picture on the TV, for example. A general purpose
computer will often have short pauses while it does something else, it is
not real-time
• In this Project we are mainly concentrating on automation which will give
better replacement to man. From the habitual nature of man when he/she
entered into restricted area where they should not talk, by forgetting that
they used to talk. In order to maintain saliency at that particular place we
need to keep a man to monitor and control them because of their usual
talk other people may get disturb. This may regularly happen in student
libraries. Here we make automation to find the sounds and giving
instruction to them.
• In this project we will first find sound generated by us by using the
sound detection circuit depending upon receiving sound detection that
will be given to the microcontroller then depending upon receiving the
sound detection the microcontroller will give instruction to speaker to like
“KEEP SILENT”. The sounds are detected by microphone that with some
related circuit. And speak out thing can be done by speaker can drive by
voice chip where we will store the announcement voice.

Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of
engineering, physics andmaterials science for the design,
analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the
branch of engineering that involves the design like catia,P RO-e,CAD,
production, and operation of machinery and tools. It is one of the oldest and
broadest of the engineering disciplines.
