- 1. Evidence of editing:<br />Logged and Captured: <br />342900153035<br />Timeline The screen on the right is where I view the clips that I have places on the time line. This is where the sound and clips emerged and how I observed if the visual and the sound were appropriate for each other.The middle screen is for seeing each clip after double clicking on the clips on the left. This helped me see which clips were most preferred for different parts of the sound track. The diagram shown above is where the clips can be dragged from on to the timeline below. Each clip has its caption (what’s going on visually). <br />-476250299085<br />Effects<br />Colour correction 3-way:<br />-262890610870Double clicking on the clip placed on the timeline that you would like to insert effects on and go to effects on the “toolbar”. <br />By moving the arrow down I had managed to get a black and white clip. -3086102678430<br />However, even thought the clip was black and white it looked grey rather than black and white so I decided to adjust the contrast to get the effect I wanted. <br />Brightness and Contrast:<br />The “colour corrector 3-way” had taken away all colours which meant that I was essentially suppose to end up with a black and white clip, but I was dissatisfied with the results so I used “brightness and contract” to make it more contrast between the black and white areas. <br />95252771775254071755<br />Essentially by moving the “brightness” arrow I should get a lighter or a darker clip, whereas the “contrast” arrow should give me a sharper contrast between the black and white areas. <br />By playing with these technique areas of effects on editing I managed to create a representation with direct reference to still photographic images of joy division by the photographer Anton Corbijn. <br />Framing: <br />Like most errors created by cameras, editing is a way to adjust and fix the problems that accrued during filming. I faced the problem of having some clips smaller than the frame; some were wide framed whilst others like the one below were small and this would affect the music video visually. However, I have decided to keep the small frames for some clips such as the performance scene to where they are deferent to the narrative and also because the black outline complemented the footage visually. <br />By moving the corners out I can control how big I want the frame of my clip to be and make sure they fit perfectly like the others. <br />Editing this video as a whole was a challenge. We filmed three times a as a group in order to get the necessary filming for the sound track. “No Love Lost” is a high beat and fast pasted sound track so every time the riffs in the beat changes it has a visual effect causing the scene to change. <br />
