Introduction
● Ideation: the formation of ideas or concepts
● Different teams will need different levels of support
● Focus on ideas from students to ensure buy-in
● Don’t be afraid to duplicate good ideas in different contexts – the
criterion is about impact and implementation, not originality.

● Emotion Cards
● Each card represents a problem
● You have 5 minutes
● Choose one card that means something to you
● Discuss your choices in your small group
● Decide on one problem that you want to solve together.

Finding solutions
● Five approaches:
○ Effectuation
○ Tablecloth Game
○ Three Nouns and a Verb
○ Scamper
○ Lego Brainstorm
● 20 minutes
● In your group, use the approach set out in your pack
● You’ll learn about the other approaches later in the session.
