This document provides an overview of a university session on material design for teaching English. The purpose is to analyze concepts of materials development, compare in-house and commercial materials, and identify reasons for selecting different options. Students will read an assigned text, complete a comparative table on the author's view and reasons to produce or select materials. They will then discuss in groups whether "the material is the master of the class" and if "materials help learning and teaching," and present their table with views on these ideas.
