Footage: Is mostly appropriate for target audience, fitting some genre conventions. Some controlled use of camera although most shots out of focus. Editing: Edited well in parts. Good variety of shots used throughout. Sound: Some good use of diegetic sound, although non-diegetic sound is questionable to the location. Overall: A basic drama piece that would have benefited from more attention to mise en scene, sound and better camera focus. Evaluation – Comments and mark out of 12/20 Question 1: Answered using a video blog via youtube. Candidate uses an unconventional approach in getting a friend to read a script he has written as he is not comfortable talking on camera. What is said clearly explains how he has conformed to his genre but is confusing in parts. Question 2: Answered using prezi. Candidate explains well which social groups are represented in his film. He acknowledges he would have like to have used older actors in his film to represent his target audience better. Question 3: Answered using word and calameo. Candidate explains briefly that Vertigo Films would be best to distribute his film. This answer would benefit from some detailed comparisons of a few key films rather than a list of all they have distributed.. Question 4 and 5: Answered using power-point and slideshare. Candidate states briefly who his target audience is, this would have benefited from being more visual. He then adds how he attracted his TA using stills from his film opening. These have been analysed well but no audience feedback has been sought. Question 6: Answered using powtoon. All technologies talked through well, this would have benefited from being proof read and checking spellings first. Question 7: Answered using word and slideshare. Candidate provides a brief reflective piece explaining what he has learnt throughout his journey from preliminary to final task. Overall a proficient evaluation, most answers offer some good attention to detail, however some could have more. Total 54/100 Grade: D
