Step 1: Thread the Needle
I seriously hope
that you can figure
this out on your
own, if you can’t
you probably
shouldn’t be
sewing at all. BUT
just in case you
don’t understand
here is a picture!
So, yes there are many
Step 2: Tying the knot ways to accomplish tying
a knot, the main point is
to make sure it will hold!
Here is the best way I
Start with the two know, if you don’t get it
ends of your string do any other way you
          together because want.!
          we will be using
          double string.

                                Then, hold the needle in
                                one hand and the string
                                in the other and place
                                them on top of each
                                other
Step 2: Continued
                               Now, wrap
                               the string
                               around the
                               needle, three
                               of four times

Then, this part is super easy, just pull the
twisted part down the needle and down
the string. When you near the bottom
the string should turn into a knot!
                                                     SHOWN HERE!
Step 3: Begin sewing

       Simple, just
       thread the
       needle
through the Now, just pull the
       fabric string through one
                                                     of the holes on the
                                                     button!

Then pull until the knot stops
This is also a test for if you are a fail at tying
               knots.. (:
Step 4: Securing the button

Now thread
your needle Now thread
through the back up
second hole. through the
                              first hole.

Now, just repeat these steps until your button is
    completely secured to the fabric
FYI
If you are trying to sew a button with four holes
the process is pretty much the same. Thread
through the second hold up through the third
down through the fourth and up through the
original then repeat until button is secure. The
finishing steps are the same for either button
type.
Step 5: Creating a shaft
Now, to make sure your button is easily able to be buttoned you
need to create a shaft for it.

                                              Now wrap the string around
the button until it is lifted
                                              from the fabric (maybe 6-7
                      Make sure you come times)
                      from the bottom of
                      the fabric and thread
                      through, but don’t
                      thread through the
                      button so your string
                      comes out under the
                      button
Step 6: Knotting off the string
              ALMOST DONE!

Make another loop
around the button but
don’t pull it tight

Pull your needle through the loop
and pull it tight. Do this twice
then cut the string off as close to
                          the button as possible.
ALL DONE!

Finished project should look like this!
