- 4. 1. Uninstall your old Octopus client ! Don’t worry, your data is still stored in your computer and you will not face any difficulty to upgrade it! Go to ‘Configuration Panel’ Go to ‘Uninstall an application’ Select ‘Octopus Microfinance’ and click on ‘Uninstall’
- 5. 2. Download and install the latest version Download the ‘Client Octopus’ available on the website Run the .exe file and read the Terms of Use
- 6. 3. Migrate your data Start the application from your desktop This message appears: Click on the button ‘ Upgrade data’
- 7. 3. Migrate your data Your database is the automatically upgraded !
- 8. ! When restarting the software, you may see this: Click on ‘Edit settings’ and re-enter the connection parameters
- 9. Reminder: connection settings Server: - ‘ IP address of the server’\sqlexpress - or ‘name of the computer’\sqlexpress - For instance: ‘Vincent-PC\sqlexpress’ Database: name of your branch
- 10. Reminder: connection settings User name: sa Password: password saved during the configuration of SQL Server (in our case: octopus ).
- 11. Reminder: connection settings Click on ‘Continue’ (the application restarts and your data will be upgraded)
