- #4: The graphic image shown on this slide is of The Service Delivery Framework which tells IBM’s complete story, in one at-a-glance view, on how to transform a client’s IT organization into Cloud Enabled Data Center. It starts the discussion with the strategic Decisions and Choices a client must make when adopting a cloud environment specifically for Business Design, Service Levels and Deployment. We are very often bringing customer – CIOs - thru this tools specially when they know they need to move to MS but still looking for the right choice to be made. We had 2 recent examples in BNL with General Business Customers with new appointed CIOs who launched an RFP. They had so many offers and where not able to compare and even one of them was not able to convince their CEO about the need to move to MS. In using this tool thru a 1 day workshop he has been able to structure the presentation to CEO and now we are working jointly to get to the best solution for his Cie.
- #6: SCE e’ l’ offerta iaas del public cloud IBM. SCE E’ la soluzione ideale per ospitare ambienti web services e sviluppo e test. Si accede attraverso un portale disponibile in Internet gli amministratori ICT dell’ azienda possono richiedere sistemi e risorse spaziando su 10 configurazioni predefinite a 32 o 64 bits, diverse in termini di potenza e di memoria. Su queste configurazioni e’ possibile richiedere sempre attraverso il portale l’ installazione di sistemi operativi MS windows e linux red hat e Novell Suse. Diverse opzioni completano la configurazione in risposta alle varie esigenze operative quali: storage persistente per il mantenimento dei dati co-location di sistemi su macchine fisiche diverse attivazione di connessioni VPN dedicate salvataggio delle immagini per utilizzi successivi supporto help desk diversificato in base alle esigenze possibilita’ di creare sistemi su Data center diversi nelle varie geografie in funzione del business Grande attenzione sui temi della sicurezza e della Data Privacy, IBM risponde alle piu’ stringenti certificazioni in materia, i dati viaggiano in modalita’ encripted su linee VPN dedicate, i server possono essere collocati su sistemi diversi su diversi Data Center.
- #7: La seconda soluzione che vi presento e’ SCE+ SCE+ e’ l’ offerta cloud pubblico IBM Iaas riservata ad ambienti di produzione. Sempre attraverso un portale disponibile in Internet si possono richiedere sistemi e risorse spaziando su 7 configurazioni predefinite intel e 8 su System P IBM. In aggiunta ai sistemi operativi configurabili con SCE e’ possibile richiedere l’ installazione del sistema operativo AIX. Le opzioni sono tutte quelle descritte nell’ offerta SCE con l’ aggiunta di: funzionalita’ differenziate per le varie categorie di servizio supporto incluso fino alla gestione del sistema operativo Su SCE+ e’ possibile configurare connettivita’ di tipo VPN o MPLS , come per SCE i server possono essere collocati su sistemi diversi su diversi Data Center. Il Data center di riferimento per l’ Europa e’ a Ehningen in Germania per cui applicazioni e dati possono essere allocati in un sito all’ interno della comunita’ europea Il pagamento avviene con canone mensile relativo alla configurazione iniziale, concordata, che pero’ non esclude successive acquisizioni di ulteriori sistemi sempre attraverso il portale.

In futuri release questa soluzione verra’ estesa ad altri ERP del settore quali Oracle Appl. e People soft. Questa soluzione creata per i landscape SAP si inserisce sull’ offerta SCE+ precedentemente descritta aggiungendo i servizi di gestione tipici per un ambiente SAP. Obiettivo e’ ridurre i costi infrastrutturali e di gestione associati ad un ambiente SAP tradizionale. I servizi IBM aiutano a migliorare la qualita’ del servizio attraverso la standardizzazione ed automazione dei classici task operativi di approvvigionamento, copia e refresh dei vari ambienti. IBM e’ certificata come SAP Global Partner per i servizi Cloud e vanta una lunga esperienza di gestione di ambienti vitualizzati SAP.
