eLearning or e-learning uses electronic educational technology in learning and teaching.
Sherman and Craig (2003)defined virtual world and virtual environment through the medium of cyberspace. It is an imaginary space that manifests as a location in the minds of the participants.

Classroom activities are still applicable in the format of online collaborative learning activities.

eLearning, according to Boettcher and Conrad in 1999 (as cited in Pratt and Pallof, 2001), has three types of virtual content delivery through World Wide Web:
1.web courses –material is placed on a website
2.web-enhanced courses –use both face-to-face meetings and web delivery
3.web-centric courses-interactive courses conducted exclusively using a course site that is housed on the web
eLearning is learner-centered for learning that happens any time at locations chosen by the learner. Computer technology assists learners to study more hours during class, and thereafter, interaction with learning materials are accessed anywhere outside the classroom.

eLearning for all students via online facilities can be effectively carried out if the encouragement and the correct strategies are rightly implemented

Students know of certain strategies to practise for classroom learning success. Similar to raising hands, answering questions, and dialogue with the instructor after class

eLearning strategies are specific skills like analysis, synthesis, creative thinking and problem solving are useful.
Success in eLearning combines traditional and online learning skills listed by Watkins and Corry in 2004 (as cited in Watkins,2005) as below

Critical thinking

Study habits ensures adequate time is devoted to studying course materials. Allocating an hour daily as a minimum to concentrate on the first unit or lesson to be continued over the course of the program is wise. Be sure to review important details like places to post discussion forums, clarify assignments, and location of discussion board for connecting with other learners as well as instructors. Answering those questions in advance will guide a better start to achieve good results for the online program.

Complementing critical thinking skills from specific learning activities would be the following arrangement of study hours around life commitments. Often, learning activities are best completed during the most alert time of an individual learner. Some are morning people while others may be more productive mentally in the afternoon or at night. Be sure to recognize personal natural body clock.
Image source adapted with credit from http://0.tqn.com/y/careerplanning/1/W/2/G/183499437.jpg
Set aside time to complete learning activities and coursework. Although eLearning courses are mostly self-paced without rigid session schedules, before enrolment, decide on ability to allocate study time, write assignments, and participate in online activities.

Understand and use common learning strategies in terms of taking notes, effective reading, and test taking. Studies acknowledge that the open and wide nature of the internet hosts endless volume of information. eLearning over networks supports individual progress even when retrieving relevant data may usually pose a challenge.
Thus, various online success skills should be used, such as access, browse, compare, and synthesize.

eLearning with flexibility of interactive multimedia learning materials are delivered through the networks with transfer of files in the learning process. Be sure to keep copies and back up files as well.
