Bringing learning to life Richard Lock Managing Director.
What we do Cause Related Learning inspires performance improvement through socially responsible learning. We typically work with business teams who are seeking to develop a particular aspect of their skills or behaviour. It might be how they manage performance,  or leadership, or team working or some other aspect of management.
The core To generate real world actions and behaviours, we issue the team with a real performance challenge linked to either a charity or community project.  The team works together to deliver the challenge. Learning is explored and captured through a series of structured facilitated sessions.
Challenge types There are many possibilities and generally teams will be encouraged to find their own solutions within any framework agreed with the parties involved. Examples include: Fundraising - a direct ask - planning and organising an event - producing a product or service - sponsorship
Challenge types Hands on - doing renovation work - creating - decorating Professional - providing specialist skills - consultancy - project management - research
Challenge types Game based - we do offer a 2 day game based alternative where teams develop a strategy and action plan to secure an agreed points distribution. Teams then put their plan into action and respond to changing circumstances accordingly. Delegates or teams can be sponsored to raise funds for the chosen cause.
Challenge duration Typically a one-off duration of two days Can be a number of sessions spread over a longer period Can be used to provide a climax to a more traditional series of development workshops
Additional options Needs analysis Competency profiling Psychometric assessment 1:1 coaching sessions Post challenge learning review workshops More traditional workshops with a % of the fee going to a nominated charity
