IRJET - Alerting and Detection of Toxic Gases in Industries using the Internet of Things

This document describes a system to detect and alert about toxic gases in industrial areas using Internet of Things technology. The system uses gas sensors connected to a Raspberry Pi to detect gases like carbon monoxide, methane, hydrogen and propane. If gas levels go above a threshold, an alarm alerts people in the area and an SMS is sent to authorities. Sensor data is also sent to a web-based interface for remote monitoring. The system aims to improve safety for industrial workers by quickly detecting and reporting gas leaks.
