- 2. Introduction The “Request for Quote” extension for Magento allows the admin to hide the product price and make the customer to ask a quote for products. This Magento quotation extension works as a lead generator for Magento store owners and helps to collect customer data with ease. After users enter their details in a pop-up inquiry form, the admin can contact them back for further communication.
- 3. Product page after applying “Request for Quote” feature Customers can click on the “Inquire Now” button and enter their details and query on a popup inquiry form. They can also call the admin on the displayed phone number.
- 4. Inquiry Form for Customers Once the customer clicks on “Inquire Now”, an inquiry form pops up where they can enter their details and queries. The admin can contact them back for further communication.
- 5. Extension Configuration After buying the extension, you can configure it by navigating here through Magento backend. You can access your serial key from My account dashboard and enter it in your configuration settings here.
- 6. Enabling Request for Quote The request for Quote feature can be enabled globally for all products or for specific products. At the same time it can be enabled for specific customer groups. The admin can configure this from the backend admin panel.

A color picker is available. An image can also be displayed alongside the phone number to highlight the call feature. Admin can upload an image (a dialer for example). The admin can set a phone number, which is to be displayed on the product page for the customers to contact the store.
- 8. Request for Quote- Inquiry settings Admin can enable/disable the “inquire now” button on the frontend. Setting this to “NO” will disable this feature. The Inquiry form title can be customized. The “Inquire Now” button label can be changed to something like “Product quote”, “Request for Quote” etc.
- 9. Terms and Condition settings This will allow the admin to set certain terms and conditions which the customers need to agree in order to receive a quote for a product. Admin can enter the URL of the page where the customers will be redirected when they click on the “terms and conditions” link.

Inquiry Management All inquiries received by the store admin will be stored in a backend grid where the admin can access all the details related to the customer inquiries including customer name, IP address, date & time of inquiry, query submitted etc. by clicking on the “View” button. Clicking on “View” will open all details related to the corresponding inquiry.
