You work for an independent media production company. you have been given the task of producing
one front cover and page(s) of the first two editions of a new current affairs magazine that is being
launched by Dennis and two pages for the working website for the magazine.
I will make my magazine appeal to the brief audience by having the same person I feature on the cover is
part of the same age group as the target audience which will make them feel as if their age group has
been included in the process. As my demographic took my research survey, my magazine will reflect that
they wanted the text to be colourful but readable as well as having interesting colour lines. I am going to
create a conventional magazine that will fit in with the Dennis House Style I will do this by having a red
and white masthead and having plugs and puffs to promote events such as PRIDE festivals and Black
Lives Matter protests. Magazines typically have a key object or figure, which is sparkign interest from
their chosen demographic, on the front cover to both raise awareness and gain from the boom of the
popularity for this topic. I will also do this by having teenagers who are within my demographic gfeature
on my magazine but who are also part of the Pride and Black Lives Matter movements which will show
my audience that the social issues are being portrayed accurately. Effect techniques that I have seen in
my research has been mid shots of the model looking at the camera on the front cover so I will recreate
by having my models do the same. I have used direct sunlight in my PRIDE magazine while having my
model in all black to go against stereotypes which makes the PRIDE flag stand out.
