Do we always count from 1?
2
• When we begin counting, we always start from 1
• Let us say we are given some smiley to count
• We count them starting at 1
• Let us say we counted 5 smiley in all
• What if the teacher gives us some more smiley
to count?
• To count new objects, we don’t start from 1
• We start after the last number we counted
• There were 5 smileys earlier
• So, now we start from 6 onwards...
