Building a Strong Working RelationshipwithYour Manager
At any stage of employment with an organization, working effectively with the boss is a key
factor for anyone’s success. Through self-assessment, individuals uncover their work style and
then compare it to their manager’s. Differences and similarities of work styles are identified and
specific ways to work with managers who have different work styles are developed. Participants
leave the workshop with an action plan on how to remain flexible with their style as they
interact with their manager.
Business Writing
This workshop delivers basic tips and techniques for dealing with many kinds of writing tasks,
which leads to the ability to communicate to readers what they need to know. Refresh your
ability to handle the mechanics of writing, including grammar, sentence structure and word
choice. This course is geared to professionals at all levels who want a quick and easy approach
to effective business writing.
Conflict Management
Conflict is inevitable and to be expected at work. Enhance your skills to manage conflict by
uncovering your preferred way to resolve conflict so that you can leverage this “style”.
Determine when situations call for your to utilize your preferred style as well as when another
style may be more effective based on the situation you face.
Customer Service
Develop the mindset and skills required to meet and exceed internal or external customer
expectations while cultivating strong working relationships that secure commitment and trust.
Participants enhance their customer service skills by uncovering key behaviors associated with
preparing, greeting, understanding, assisting and extending themselves with customers.
Employee Engagement and Motivation
Explore strategies for motivating yourself and others to go the extra mile. Gain insight Into the 8
features of a job that lead to employee motivation such as variety of work, autonomy and
purpose.
Managing Our Differences
Today, the multi-cultural and multi-generational workforce calls for team members and leaders
to understand and honor the values and motivations of the people they work alongside with.
Unearth the characteristics and attributes of the 5 generations that comprise today’s workforce
and identify what motivates each generation. In addition, participants gain clarity on the many
multi-cultural attributes and how those attributes impact decision making and problem solving.
Managing Performance
Learners develop the skills to set direction and goals for their direct reports and then build
systems to monitor their performance. How to conduct an effective performance review is
included in the seminar, including tactics to handle difficult conversations with employees who
have not met performance expectations.
Teamwork
Strategies on how to develop a team to become cohesive and highly productive is the central
theme of this seminar. The 13 elements that comprise the “DNA” of teamwork are identified
and tactics to strengthen each are developed. How to deal with dysfunctional individual and
team behavior is also covered.
Transitioning IntoA LeadershipRole
This seminar focuses on helping individuals identify the challenges associated with becoming
new frontline leaders. Through an assessment, participants learn more about their leadership
style and how that style needs to flexed when confronted with the many varied situations
leaders find themselves dealing with.
