- 3. Essential Content Overview The common goal is to incorporate technology in the classroom setting. Essential Questions : How well do you work with computers? Do you find computers challenging / do you learn better with or without them? How does other planets in the solar system affect earths atmosphere? What does the Earths atmosphere consist of? What can citizens of Earth do to reduce greenhouse gases? Introducing students to computers gradually. The student will need to read text regarding earths atmosphere and be able to Monitor Progress with computer Learn what’s in the Earth Atmosphere/ group members share research tasks.
- 4. Teachers Role Assess student progress Incorporate computing skills with assessment Teach students how to assess computing assignments on computer based work. Teach students to utilize technology for researching information Research Earth Atmosphere
- 5. Working together: Students and Parents Students will work to research the Earth’s atmosphere through search engines using a computer with online access. Students and parents can work together to show students how to conduct proper research i.e. using credible websites. Parents can also volunteer in the classroom to assist with their students progression using computers.

There are always Benefits By learning with computers students will be able to assess skills with multimedia based assignments that will gradually progress overtime and assist with future success. Instills critical thinking Students will be able to learn to collaborate on assignments, communicate with 21st century skills Learning with incorporated technology in a traditional classroom setting that assist students with different learning styles and allows students to adapt to different multimedia assignments.
- 7. Standards: Goals To have success in this course students need to utilize their ability to research and assess information to answer computer based diagrams and questions. Learning to share information among classmates which demonstrates better social skills and to demonstrate their knowledge of the Earths Atmosphere.
- 8. What is Project Based Learning Project based learning is an instructional approach built upon authentic learning activities that engage student interest and motivation. The activities are created to answer a question or solve a problem and generally reflect the types of learning and work people do in the everyday world outside the classroom
