Survey Results – Cohort 1
Survey invitations:
A total of 3222 students who studied in Cohort 1 were invited to participate in the survey. Invitations
were sent to students who had:
(1) passed one or more subjects, or
(2) had commenced or completed one or more subjects without passing.
Students who enrolled but did not commence were not invited to participate, due to the nature of the
questions in the survey.
Response rates:
The response rate was 22%, 709 respondents from 3222 recipients. Of all respondents, 264 studied
only one subject, and 445 studied two or more subjects.

the time I used it on the bus, but it was
quite difficult to navigate it through.”
I found the Open2Study website easy to use.
The Open2Study website had a strong 95% satisfaction rating (based on the ratings ‘agree’ and ‘strongly agree’).
Respondents who disagreed with the statement ‘I found the website easy to use’ listed mobile incompatibility,
‘glitches’, and navigation as key points for improvement.

Overall satisfaction rated highly, with 95% of respondents agreeing or strongly agreeing that they were satisfied.
One third of the respondents who indicated dissatisfaction commented negatively on assessments. Dissatisfaction
was primarily focused on assessment mode and level of difficulty.

What did you enjoy most about Open2Study?
Whilst ‘free’ was amongst the top five benefits listed by students in response to this question, it was most often
listed alongside other features or as a secondary benefit. 113 respondents commented on the videos, indicating
that video length, production values and interactive transcripts were an important part of their enjoyment of
Open2Study.

Overall satisfaction rated highly, with 95% of respondents agreeing or strongly agreeing that they were satisfied.
