Review your strengths and accomplishments Know the organization Get there on time (and know how to get there) Dress appropriately Be open and friendly Answer the questions that are asked Use your accomplishments to illustrate whenever possible Know the next steps before you leave Interviewing Basics

- 10. Prepare your questions for the employer Why is the position open? What are their biggest challenges? What are their priorities? How will results be measured? When will they be making a decision And additional questions, such as technical ones, that are important to you and for you to understand the position
- 11. Research preparation for an interview Learning about the organization, its competition, and the interviewer Internet Library Networking Organization’s marketing material Other organizations such as associations
- 12. Dress for the interview Dress as if you are going to be representing the organization at a public function Dress appropriately and conservatively for the position Be neat and well groomed
- 13. Prepare your references Arrange for a minimum of three professional references Get up to date contact information from them Discuss what they will say about you Let them know that they might be contacted and give them some information about the job
