Difficult to do in QlikView LIMITED DATA PREPARATION While QlikView provides a scripting language for integrating and loading data from multiple sources into memory, it does not provide advanced ETL capabilities that are needed for more complicated data integration use cases, like parsing of web log data for sequence analysis and hierarchy tree navigation. SCALABILITY AND PERFORMANCE LIMITATIONS QlikView is designed for gigabytes-scale BI applications. Given a typical 10x compression rate, QlikView performs well on data volumes up to 10-20 gigabytes of compressed data. Since QlikView has to bulk load all data to the system RAM, reloading data is a considerable workload and can take a substantial amount of time. - 21. Qlikview is an in-memory BI tool used solely for deploying fancy dashboards and reports. Qliview claims to deliver solutions at half the rate , one- fourth the time and twice the value to the customers vis-a- virsa any traditional BI tool like Cognos BI Qliktech suffers when dealing with complex reports. Cognos makes it harder for simple reports to be created by the end user Qlikview is memory based. More users, more memory on Server. VS
- 22. Conclusion QlikView is a technology aimed at helping analysts and business people get insights from information as part of a highly visual process. When business users explore data in QlikView, they use associations and patterns that are more like those in the human mind than in a traditional database, releasing users from the limitations of those databases. QlikView’s claim to value is that it gets business users working quickly, collaboratively and flexibly, without making business intelligence an IT project in and of itself.
