How did you use media
technologies in the
evaluation stage?

• Prezi was one of the platforms that we used for
our evaluation.
• It has many templates, so we had the freedom to
choose the format and style of our presentation.
• We used it to evaluate certain aspects of our
product, while retaining a sense of professionalism.

• For example, the lightbulb conveys
birth of ideas and allowed us to
connote this in our presentation.
• The add slides tool allowed us to create different positions the information
lands throughout the presentation map.
• The shape tool allowed us to manipulate the shape boxes of the text, while
the text tool let us signify titles and key points.
• The presentation software was accessible, allowing us
to implement videos, images, music and shapes.
• The software itself was fluid and dynamic. We used
this style of presentation through the templates to
create an interesting presentation.
• I could also access Prezi from it’s highly successful mobile app.The only issues with this was
that it didn’t function as quickly as desktop.
• However some negatives of prezi was that when we used it, we needed to register and
create an account.
• It was also slow on our smartphones and on hardware that had little RAM.
Android (Jamal)
• Android OS was one of the operating systems used during the evaluation.
• It allowed me to work on our presentations from my mobile through
Android apps and the internet.
• The only downside to this was that they crashed sometimes. Androids also
do not have as much RAM as the average desktop computer, so they were
slower.
• TheYouTube Android application I could use to upload the file, as it allowed
one to select a video directly from their gallery.
• The issue with this was the time it took to upload the evaluation. It took
half an hour for a 5 minute clip.
• The camera function let me accessibly film our question on audience
from home, instead of needing to use the webcam at school. The
benefits of this was how well the quality of footage was, and how I could
edit it using a variety of tools.
• For example because the room was bright I adjusted the white balance.
• TheYouTube Android application I could use to upload the file, as it allowed
one to select a video directly from their gallery.
