This paper proposes a transparent relay system with a virtual network interface card (vNIC) for encrypted overlay networks to address the new demands of internet applications that existing networks cannot meet. The proposed overlay node acts as a proxy server and router, working across multiple layers of the OSI model to improve scalability and cost-effectiveness while managing encrypted communication efficiently. The study examines the architecture and performance of this node, indicating its potential to support highly secure and flexible network services through software-defined network principles.
