This document summarizes a presentation given at a conference on BYOD security challenges. It discusses how BYOD has grown significantly with more devices and users accessing corporate networks. However, BYOD also introduces numerous security risks as these personal devices are generally less secure than corporate-managed ones. The document outlines some of the organizational and personal issues caused by BYOD. It also provides suggestions on how companies can better secure BYOD, such as using whole disk encryption, enforcing security policies, and partnering with security vendors who have deep experience hardening large complex enterprise networks.
