Pythagorean Theorem and Distance Formula  Clemon taylor
Pythagorean Theorem explanation  The Pythagorean Theorem  basically in a more simple form it’s just three sides of a right triangle ( right-angled triangle )  The variable and the meanings are A=leg b=base c=hypotenuse  The triangle being used is a right triangle. Or a triangle with a little square in the bottom left side. Directly across from the hypotenuse.

Distance formula explanation. Distance = √(x2-x1) 2  +(y2-y1) 2 Get the line your measuring   Find the coordinates of the line’s endpoint Take the x-coordinates of both of the points and subtracts them Then you square the amount Then you get the y- coordinates of both points and subtract them Then you square the amounts Then you have to add both of the squares Then you find the square root of the final answer Square that amount . Then you have found the length of line. (in units)
(1,3) and your other point is (4,7).  D=5
