   Options – everyone needs to be doing either:
   Reading the notes re Quality Management in
    preparation for assessment items
   OR
   Completing Cost
   To complement the fishbone diagram, you
    can use Pareto diagrams.
   Fishbone or Ishikawa shows relationships –
    root &
   Pareto diagram shows the size of the various
    issues/problems & where to focus effort for
    greatest reward.
   A Pareto diagram is a simple bar chart that ranks
    related measures in decreasing order of
    occurrence
   Vilfredo Pareto
    ◦ Italian economist and sociologist
    ◦ study in Europe in the early 1900s on wealth and
      poverty.
   His findings included
    ◦ wealth was concentrated in the hands of the few and
    ◦ poverty in the hands of the many.
    ◦ significant few things will generally make up 80% of the
      whole,
    ◦ the trivial many will make up about 20%.

   What can go wrong?

   The establishes an orderly and effective
    procedure for
    ◦   tracking the submission,
    ◦   coordination, review, evaluation,
    ◦   categorization, and
    ◦   approval for release of all changes to the project’s
        baselines.

   Title      A brief description of the change request
Description   Description of the desired change, the impact, or benefits of a change should also be
              described

Submitter     Name of the person completing the CR Form and who can answer questions regarding
              the suggested change

  E-Mail      Email of the submitter
 Product      The product that the suggested change is for
 Version      The product version that the suggested change is for
  Priority    A code that provides a recommended categorization of the urgency of the requested
              change (High, Medium, Low)

   Master of Ceremonies suddenly taken ill two
    weeks before event and will not be available
    for the event. A strong suggestion from
    Councillors to get a professional.
   The Council access officer wants to know how
    the event is to cater meet council’s Universal
    access policy.
   List the impacts on the project and the

   The ground appears to be unstable and

  • #10: Its international It’s a standard for all projectsBut there is a considerable paper trail &amp; system embedded into the organisation.For this to be truly successful the company/organisation has to be committed to on-going implementation. Usually something smaller and more tailored is required for a project because of its limited time and resources. The organization&apos;s company quality management may provide sufficient guidance for the project – the first place to start.
