This is the first version of the script for my
short film project. Since it is the primary script
draft, I have chosen the title of nameless as a
first working title. In regards, to my reason of
this choice relates to the fact that the
characters present in my short film remain
unknown. This is because the chief notion is
based on the message of the battle of anxiety
and conquering it which is embodied through
the characters rather than the characters
epitomizing the theme.
However seeing as this title does not fully capture
the theme of the short film, I have chosen to
broaden the outlet of names by coming up
with various titles related to the topic I want
to present. My examples include: insentient
impact, involuntary servitude, imminent
deviation, escape to the innocuous, inevitable
impact and omnipresent (impact). I have tired
to relate to both the notions of confined
freedom and the premise of inevitability of
the inescapable in order to convey my idea in
the best way possible.
-
Through this continuous motion I want to convey a
notion of time-lapse in order to emphasize the bleak
and dull atmosphere. Furthermore, the monotonous
pace evokes a sense of an endless repetitive cycle ,
which in this case relates to his constant mental
instability.
In regards to the title of the newspaper article, I
wanted to incorporate a more realistic title in
order express the naturalism of the incident
despite the mis-en-scene of my short film being
based on illusion and a dystopian vision.
By the character showing an emotionless
expression and the focus of his anxiety being his
eyes, the appearance of his anxiety is more
poignant as it is not obvious but rather shows his
inner turmoil as “the eyes are an entrance to the
soul” in metaphorical terms.
In the corporation of sound additions of shouts of the main
character, I want to establish the hectic atmosphere is latent
manner, since the aid of sound is no visual and thus does not
convey a obvious and exaggerated concept.
In order to make the script reveal the film
in the most accurate manner, I wanted to
include a brief description of the group of
victims such as their age and background.
In addition, I decided to change the
description of them from jolly and joyful
to innocent and elated in order to
demonstrate their purpose and
appearance most accurately.
I have decided to move the line of VictimA to the following page and to lower the
font to a smaller size in order to make the appearance of my script more visually
coherent.
-
Consequently, from
movingVictimA’s line to
the following page, I
would have to move the
commencement of
Scene 6 in order to
follow the same
coherent pattern in a
orderly fashion.
-
In relation to this last page
of the script, I did not refer
to many corrections due to
the fact that this is the
rough draft and I wanted to
focus on details and in-
depth correction in the
second version/draft of my
script since I would have
constituted the main
premise from creating the
first draft.
