Mood At the verybeginning,the overall moodisheroicandglorious.We almostfeel that
there are some heroesapproachingtobe rewarded.However,at0:30, the
atmosphere startstobe aggressive andfull of hatred.Thatwasjustachievedwith
increasingthe volume of sound.
At 0:58 the tube soundsmake the surroundingsdoom.Itall slightlyquietensandwe
hearheavyfootsteps,forcingtheirwaytothe chamber/hall.The kinghasaglad
voice,buthisson isfull of evil plans.We knowthatbecause soundsaccompanying
hisvoice have that kindof feel.
The mood highlytensesandchangestodramatic,readyingthe audienceforareal
drama. The momentafterArthassaysthe lastwords,before killing(at2:03) the
king,doesn’thave anyothernon-diegeticmusic,it’scompletelyquiet.
The last part of the cutscene isgrave and dramatic,soundslike afuneral,butnot
onlyof the previousking,alsoforthe whole kingdom.

greetinghisson.Butthe son, Arthas,hasa completelydifferentsoundtohim,very
demonic.He saysthe kingno longer‘needstosacrifice andbearthe crown’(1:28-
1:38). Arthasapproachesthe king,whoaskswhat ishe doing.He replies‘succeding
you,father’(whichmeansit’shistime foracrown, or somethingsimilar) andkills
him.
From 2:15, Arthas statesthat the kingdomshouldfall andrise asnew,andthis
should‘shake the veryfoundationsof the world’.
The dialogue wasstudiorecorded. The Arthas’
voice wasmodifiedwithinthe software tohave
thisdifferentfeelingtoit.
