When I started to programme my sounds into my game I first had to open game maker and create a
sound. To create the sound I first went to Resources – Create Sound or alternatively Shift+Ctrl+U for the
faster route. This will then create a sounds folder and a sound bed.

The next thing I did was load the sound that I wanted to use for a specific section of my game to do this
you need to have double clicked the sound bed and the a folder icon will be next to the name of the
sound. If clicked it will take you to your folders and then navigate to the sound that you want to use and
double click it the sound will then be attached to the sound bed.
Once you are happy with the sound that you have selected and have listened to it just click ok and it will
save that current setup.
When I started to programme my first sound into the game I chose to start with the intro to the game
and the sound it would play when you press start.
To programme my sound I had to go to the objects menu and select the obj_Intro.
From here I clicked on the left pressed icon to bring up the script then I double clicked the script to then
programme my specific sound to the object so when I clicked on it, it would play the sound and only to
that specific button and not to continuosly play it throuhout.

This is the coding for this specific sound so that it will only play when clicked onto. This code will make it
play only once and not continuously play throughout the game.
The next steps were the same process as I took to programme the other sounds into my game by first
double clicking on each object and then going into their script and programming the sound to play when
I destroy it or if the ball bounces off of the wall in the game.

Sound programme process
