PMID 26678815 Outcomes To address the requirements of legislation as well as respond to expressed stakeholder needs, the National Library of Medicine (NLM) created a webpage with the following objectives in mind: The ability to share and encode patient data is a key step toward the development and evolution of nursing practice. This webpage highlights valuable NLM resources and contextualizes the need for interoperability between nursing terminologies and those terminologies that are legislatively mandated for use in electronic health records (EHRs).
