Surveillance and its Requirements
• Surveillance is the process in which people, places, or things are monitored
usually for the purpose of influencing, managing, directing, or protecting
them.
• Indoor and Outdoor Surveillance
• Country borders, public places, government offices – Outdoor Surveillance
• Warehouses, homes, garages – Indoor surveillance.

Rescue Operations
• Required in Disasters
• Disasters can be Natural or Man-Made.
• As reported by USAR (Urban Search and Rescue), the
possibility of saving a victim is high within the first 48 hours
of rescue operation after that probability becomes nearly zero.

Internet of Things
• The Internet of Things (IoT) is
the network of physical objects,
devices, vehicles, buildings and
other items embedded with
electronics, software, sensors, and
network connectivity that enables
these objects to collect and
exchange data.
• .Integration with the Internet
implies that devices will use an IP
address as a unique identifier.
• Objects in the IoT will not only
be devices with sensory
capabilities, but also provide
actuation capabilities.

Advantage of Robots
• They reduce human efforts.
• They can get into dangerous places without complaining.
• Small size robot are difficult to get caught an eye.
• Life of a human is more precious that Robot.
• It can help in outdoor surveillance by monitoring important places and also it can be made
to reach suspicious place for close observations.
• A robot can be used for indoor surveillance and can be made to reach the places of interest
for getting the information rather than installing cameras in the whole environment
.
•Help to the rescue team and can greatly improve the safety of the rescue team as well as
their working efficiency.
