By 2013, the US mobile Internet audience is expected to reach     134.3 million users
The first commercial SMS text message was transmitted in 1992.  Today, the number of text messages sent everyday exceeds the population of the planet.
AT&T has seen its mobile data traffic increase by 50X in just the last three years
Apple’s iPhone, hasstimulated 3 billion mobile application downloads since    opening of the Apple App Store
Analysts project   a $1.56 billion mobile advertising market by 2013
Morgan Stanley predicts that smart phones will out-ship the global PC market by 2012
