This document discusses a system for three phase parameter data logging and fault detection using GSM technology. The system consists of master and slave stations. The master station measures voltage, current and power factor of three phases and transmits the data to the slave station. Both stations display the measurements. If measurements at the slave station exceed preset tolerances compared to the master station, an SMS is sent to alert of potential electricity theft or faults. The system was tested with different fault scenarios and able to accurately detect faults and send alerts as needed. In conclusion, the system allows remote monitoring of three phase parameters and identification of illegal electricity use areas for prevention of theft.
