1. Assign IP address and Hostname
 Change IP just write command yast lan and then alt+I to edit IP.
 Change hostname just write command yast lan and then you see Hostname/DNS point key alt+S.

2. Install services “ cups”
 Just write command yast –I cups.
 You should restart service after install services. Write command rccups restart for suse linux.
3. Add printer by Yast with the IP address of printer above.
 Just write command yast printer to add printer.
 And Add.
 And then into Wizard.
 Atl+N to type of connection.
 Connect network.
 Type IP printer.
 And then point arrow down.
 Choose HP .
 Atl+O to finish.

- Name: HPLaser_5200
- Driver: HP Laserjet 5200 ….. (any model in 520

4. Test the result on web which Printer created. (Example: http://localhost:631)
 Localhost:631 to access page of printer.

5. Adding a printer via web-interface with:
- Name: HPLaser_4100
- Driver: HP Laserjet 4100 …. (Any model in 5200)
 Just click Administration page and click Add printer.
 Type the of printer and location by yourself.
 Just continue.
 Type of URL for access.
 Choose and brows to find in /usr/share/cups/model/packet..
 Point Add and type username and password.

6. Allow access to service CUPS by IP address of Print server
 Just edit file vi /ertc/cups/cups.conf
 Under # Only listen for connections from the local machine. Write Listen IP:631.
 Test.

7. Allow any hosts can access to CUPS service through IP address of Print Server
 Edit file just write vi /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.
 Under # Restrict access to the server…… and write Allow IP network.*
Let test.

8. Allow client can connect Printer by:
A. Adding printer via control panel
 Make sure that server and client know.
 Control, device and printer,
 Point Add printer
 Choose Add a network…..
 And the choose The printer that I want isn’t listed to put URL of printer.
 Put URL of printer and Next.
 Choose driver.
 Next.

B. Connecting printer by sharing from Samba
 Write command yast –I to install.
 Select samba and samba-client.
 Restart service samba and tests.
 Just run and 192.168.76.1 to server that share.

Test
9. Only Print server and client with IP address 192.168.XX.254/24 can access to /Admin
page
 Just write Allow and IP ex: Allow 192.168.76.1.

10. Allow User root and yourname “firstname.lastname” can edit configuration file and save.
 Under Restrict access to configuration file… write username.
11. Only User “Root, Owner and you” can cancel print job
 In page only owner or and administration can cancel authenticate a job
 You must write next to the word @SYSTEM username.

12. Managing on the printer HPLaser_5200 with the following below:
A. Limit the period for printing with 5 days per week
B. Limit the file size for printer (maximum 2 MB)
C. Limit the page number (20 pages/printing)
