Evidence of pitch
Feedback of pitch
Pitch improvements
Whilst I was doing my pitch I was filmed with a camera as you
can see from the screenshots. Furthermore, this helped me to
see what I can improve from my pitch. In addition to this, I was
also observed and received a witness statement. This is
important as it gives me a different perspective and what
other people think I can do to improve my pitch. Moreover,
some of the positive feedback I got from my pitch was that I
had a well organised script. However, some constructive
feedback I received was to speak louder and look at the
audience more.
Risk assessment
Eye dropper tool
In order to maintain consistency with my colours throughout my front cover and DPS I used the
eyedropper tool. This allowed me to use the same colours for my masthead and colour of the font. This
is important as without it my colours would have looked inconsistent and therefore unprofessional. This
would also make my magazine front cover and DPS look less appealing. Furthermore to use this you can
create a colour and save and every time you would like to use it you can click on the saved colour as you
can see from the image in the bottom left.
When editing the images I used I had to
consider factors such as if it looked the right
size. This is important as you need to be careful
especially with the pixilation and also I can
potentially become stretched. Furthermore, I
found that the most useful to in order to resize
was the transform tool which is on Photoshop.
To carry this out you had to hold down the
shift key whilst clicking and holding on the
corner of the image and then when you are at
a size which you are happy with you release
the corner and then release the shift. This is
important as it helps you maintain a square
shape and also prevents from stretching the
image.

Survey monkey
Survey monkey is what I used to gain general feedback for my pitch. It allowed me to
create and send out a questionnaire for people to fill out. Furthermore this is good as it
will also help me in the future to make improvements. In addition, the answers are fed
back to me on this website and it allows me to see the responses from the survey that I
made and can also show me the most frequent answer which therefore shows me what
I need to change or improve on the most.
Feedback from survey monkey
The first question I asked my viewers was what do you think I can do to improve my pitch?.
The most frequent response to this was to speak louder. This will help my pitch as speaking
louder will therefore allow my audience to hear the information within my slide easier which
will lead to better feedback and I can improve even more from that.
The second question I asked my viewers was do you think my magazine covers were
appealing. Most of the responses I received were yes answers. However, this also links to
another question I asked my viewers which was what do you think I could do to improve my
magazine in which the most of the responses replied with change some of the cover lines in
order to make the overall magazine stand out more. Furthermore, this feedback is very
useful as this will therefore allow me to fix some of the aspects which have been suggested
and allow my magazine to look more aesthetically pleasing.
One of the next questions I asked in my questionnaire was were my proposals
detailed enough. All of the responses to this were yes. This is important as I
do not need to improve my proposals.
Furthermore, another question I asked what do you think I could do to
improve my chosen magazine cover. Most of the responses I got to this was
to improve the cover lines. This is important as I can now go back to my
magazine and make it look better by improving the cover lines.
Survey monkey feedback continued
Survey monkey feedback continued
In addition, the next question I asked was did I have a suitable target audience. Everyone answered back with yes. This is important as
it connotes that the target audience I picked was suitable when compared to my magazine. Furthermore, this is important because
because in order for me to generate sales people will need to buy my magazine but if I target the right audience this means that I will
be able to generate sales easier as the people who I am targeting may be more interested rather than if I just chose to not have a
target audience.
Furthermore, the question which followed that was what would you do to change the front cover of my magazine. This question was
quite similar to one of my other ones and got mostly the same response. The question is what could I do to change the front cover of
my magazine. The most frequent response was again to improve the cover lines on the front cover of my magazine.
The final question I asked was did I cover everything from the mark scheme. Every response to this
was yes as I had all the correct slides which were needed to complete the PowerPoint.
Pitch improvements
The first thing I have
done to improve my pitch
is line up the cover lines.
This is important as they
can potentially look out
of place if not lined up.
Furthermore, I did this
with a ruler tool by the
left column to make sure
that the starting point is
the same.
Another improvement in which I needed to do was to make to my front cover was to make
the barcode bigger. This is important as also within my barcode is social media and web
address. This is important because it gives my customers direction if they want to find out
more information about my magazine or perhaps the extended interviews.

Production plan continued
• My production plan is a detailed plan for the development and
making process of my magazine(TUNE). This includes sections of
preparation such as the costs of the process and also everything to do
with the chosen artist and interviews. Furthermore, another section
to this plan was to do with the staff and other equipment which will
be needed. In addition a lot of work needed to be put in to make sure
that the double page spread was of a good standard and therefore a
couple of days was to be spent on that. Finally, some of the last things
within the production plan was to finish the interview with the artist
and inset it into my magazine. This ia an essential part as star appeal
is what most of my new customers may be interested in and may
therefore generate many of my sales.
Calendar events-Improved
• One area in which I will be advertising within my magazine is the
upcoming festivals in the next year. This is important as many people
go to these festivals and will want to find out when they are,
therefore giving them another reason to buy my magazine.
Furthermore, this may also include information about the previous
years festivals in order to give the readers something to expect. In
addition, there will also be puff promotion on the front cover of my
magazine. This is to win tickets to see an artist live. This is important
as my customers may be particularly interested in this and due to
concert tickets being hard to get I expect that there will be some
people also buying my magazine for this reason.
Chosen magazine
I've decided to choose this as my favored magazine. This is because I prefer the
colour scheme and overall layout. This is important as I think it is more
representative to my magazine of inspiration. Furthermore, I also prefer the
masthead of this magazine. This is because I think it looks more professional
and would therefore stand out of the shelves of shops more.
Conclusion
• Within LO5 I had to analyse the feedback of my pitch. This is
important as I can then take this information and improve how I
presented or how to improve some of my slides within my
presentation. Furthermore, I have also was given feedback in which I
read in order to help me improve my presentation.
