The Skeletal system our skeletal system is the part of the body that keeps a person up right and standing. if we did'nt have a skeleton then we would just be a blob and would not be able to move.
here are some of the main bones in your body!
the Spine The spine is the very important bone placed in your back that keeps you up straight.it also protects your spinal cord. if we did'nt have a spine then we would be all wobbeley!
Ribs your ribs are the part of the body in which protects your insides e.g. heart, lungs, kidney ect. if we did'nt have our ribs it would make the risk a lot higher of getting hurt and damaging our insides
Skull without your skull many people would not live for very long this is because your skull protects the most important part of your body the brain. if you damage your brain then you are obviousley not going to be able to do as many things e.g. talk, walk and maybe loose your memory so the skull is very important and would be very hard to live without
Pelvis the pelvis is the area where your hips are. The pelvis protects your bladder if we did'nt have our pelvis then we would have no hips or no bladder.
damage to skeletal system the spine- as you get older sometimes your disks in your spine get old and worned out! making the disks slip out of place and putting you through a very painful siguation. ribs- just the usual broken bone.
keeping your bones healthy the number 1 way to keep bones healthy is to exercise whether it's bike riding, dancing, swimming or football about 30 minutes a day is enough to keep your bones healthy and working. although when you are doing these activities you have to make sure that you are wearing the right equipment e.g. helmet and knee pads.
Eating healthy eating calcium filled foods and drinks like milk, cheese and yogurt is a great way to go if you are trying to make your bones strong and healthy
