Whether teachers differentiate  content ,  process ,  products , or the  learning environment , the use of ongoing  assessment  and  flexible grouping  makes this a successful approach to instruction. ”   -  Carol Ann Tomlinson

What is Web 2.0? Web 1.0 Obtain information by searching for it and accessing, printing, or downloading the information from a website The user is the receiver of information Web 2.0 Users control the tools of access , production and publication and use them to collaborate Users can share, produce and edit information, as well as receive it
The Difference Between… Web 1.0 Web 2.0 User as a consumer User as a producer Read Only Read and write Individuals Social groups and communities Homepages Blogs and Wikis Bookmarks/Favorites Tags (keywords) Owning Sharing
Technologies that Support D.I.  According to Robert Marzano, there are nine categories of instructional strategies that are most likely to help students learn in all grades and content areas. (Five are mentioned here; the others can be found on our Google site.) Summary Studies show that technology is a highly motivating, interactive tool that can be used to  personalize students’ instruction  according to their  learning styles, interests, and readiness. Technology can help teachers  shape and deliver instruction  to meet the needs of all students, assist in the improvement of students’ thinking skills, provide research and presentation products and improve communication.
