Digital morphing is a special effect in animations that seamlessly transitions one image into another, traditionally achieved through cross-fading. With advancements in the 1990s, computer techniques allowed for more convincing results by warping images based on marked points. It is used to portray one person turning into another through technological means or as part of a fantasy. Traditionally such a depiction would be achieved through cross-fading techniques in a movie.
